Beas Kund Trek
The one of the most popular short trek passes through Solang Valley , the trek meander through , beautiful mountain scapes. Solang Valley is very popular ski resort in winter and its on ‘must visit’ item of any visitor to Manali for its lush green beauty full of alpine flowers during June to August. The trekking trails runs along the Beas River which originates from Beas Kund (Lake). Beas Kund is also base for climbing peaks like Ladakhi and friendship peak.


Duration: 10 days

Programme Schedule

 

Day 1: Arrive Delhi :
arrive Delhi. Met on arrival at Delhi international airport and transfer to hotel for overnight stay.

Day 2: Delhi - Chandigrah - Manali :
Early morning transfer to board Shatabdi Exp. to Chandigarh. Met on arrival at Chandigarh railway station and drive to Manali (1920 mt / 310 km drive). Arrive and check into hotel for overnight stay.

Day 3: Manali :
Morning at leisuer for independent activities. Afternoon sightseeing tour of Hadimba Temple, Vashisht Hot Spring etc. Overnight stay in hotel.

Day 4: Manali - Solan Nullah :
In the morning drive to Solan Nullah (2840 mt./ 14 km drive). One of the most beautiful meadow in the region, Solan Nullah is the starting point to many trek during summer and Himachal Pradesh's best ski slope. Set up camp for overnight stay. Rest of the day at leisure to explore and enjoy the tranquility of the mountain.

Day 5: Solan Nullah - Dhundi :
After breakfast start first day's trekking (8 km). The trek follows Beas River (Solan Nullah), many times crossing the stream from one to another side. Dhundi is another Alpine meadow full of wild flowers. We will set-up camp at Dhundi for overnight stay.

Day 6: Dhundi - Beas Kund :
The today's trek (6 km) is steep. One has to trek over loosely held boulders and morains of a dying glacier. Beas Kund (3540 mt) is a small holy lake with a small meadow beside it. The legend is that Rishi Vyash meditated here. We set-up camp here. Optional : Trek up to Tentu Pass (4995 mt.). This is a arduous stretch and heavely glaciated. From the pass you can see Kulu valley and Hanuman Tibba (5932 mt.) at close distance. Return to Beas Kund for overnight stay.

Day 7: Beas Kund - Solan - Manali :
Morning after breakfast return trek (14 km) to Solan. At Solan board the vehicle to reach Manali (14 km drive). On arrival check-into hotel for overnight stay.

Day 8: Manali - Chandigarh :
Return drive (310 km) to Chandigarh. On arrival check - into hotel for overnight stay.

Day 9: Chandigarh - Delhi :
Morning after an breakfast transfer to Delhi (240 km). On arrival check-into hotel. Rest of the day at leisure. Overnight stay in hotel.

Day 10: Depart Delhi :
Day at leisure to explore Delhi on your own. Later transfer to airport for flight to onward destination.

Bhaba Pass Trek
An interesting trek starting from Spiti region and finishing at Kafnoo in Kinnaur after crossing Bhabha Pass (4640 mt). The pass remains snow-bound round the year. The trek starts from barren Spiti region with stark landscape and in contrast Kinnaur is lush green. The trip also offers chance to visit many Buddhist monasteries , different culture and tradition.


Duration: 16 days

Activities: 05 day trek / 08 night in camp / 07 night in hotel.

Best Time: July to Sept.

Programme Schedule

 

Day 1: Arrive Delhi :
Arrive Delhi. Met on arrival at Delhi international airport and transfer to hotel for overnight stay.

Day 2: Delhi - Chandigarh - Manali :
In the morning board Shatabdi Express (departture:0740 hours) from New Delhi Railway station to Chandigarh. Met on arrival (1100 hours) at Chandigarh railway station and drive (310 km) to Manali (1920 mt) via Kullu. On arrival, check-in at hotel for overnight stay.

Day 3: Manali :
Morning at leisure for independent activities. In the afternoon proceed for sightseeing tour of Manali. Visit Hadimba Devi Temple and Bashist Hot water spring. Overnight stay in hotel.

Day 4: Manali - Rohtang - Chhota Dhara :
Early morning after breakfast drive (115 km) to Chhota Dhara via Rohtang pass (3849 mt.). The initial route follows the Manali - Leh Highway. After 17 km from Rohtang pass at Gramphoo, Spiti link takes off right. We will set-up camp at Chhota Dahara. However after Chhota Dhara there is one more camping place at Batal (from Batal there is a road going upto Chandratal). Overnight stay in tented camp.

Day 5: Chhota Dhara - Kunzum La - Rangrik :
In the morning drive to Rangrik via Kunzum-la (4507 mt / 140 km drive ). 22 km from Kunzum La is Losar, first village of the Spiti valley. Continue driving to RANGRIK which is 7-8 km before Kaza. Set-up camp on arrival for overnight stay.

Day 6: Rangrik - Kaza - Sichling :
Morning after breakfast start the drive (8 km) to Ki by crossing the Spiti River. Ki Monastery is an imortant Gelugpa centre and is seat of Lochen Tulku, the 24th Lotsawa Rimpoche. After sightseeing of Ki Monastery continue driving further to Kibber Gompa (The highest village in the valley). Like Ki, Kibber's temples are in Gelugpa hands. Return to main road after visiting Ki and Kibber and continue driving to Sichling via Kaza, which is headquarter for Lahaul & Spiti region. Set up camp for overnight stay at Sichling below the Dhankar Monastery (3890 mt).

Day 7: Sichling - Tabo - Sichling :
Morning after breakfast drive (32 km) to Tabo (3050 m) the ancient cultural city of Spiti. It houses the most famous Monastery of Himachal Pradesh. This is over 1000 year old and treated as the most sacred Monastery next only to Tholling Gompa in Tibet. The temples are built in the west-tibetan style. The innner wall of Tabo is covered by frescos and painting from Buddha's life. Often reffered as `Ajanta of Himalayas' Tabo's paintings are still preserved in most original form. After sightseeing of Tabo, return to camp at Sichling for lunch. Afternoon proceed for sightseeing tour of Dhankar (17 km round trip). Return to camp for Overnight stay.

Day 8: Sichling - Mikkim - Mud :
Morning after breakfast drive (32 km) to Mikkim (3087 mt.) via Gulling. Visit kungri monastery. Later on drive to Mud village (3900 mt). on arrival set-up camp for overnight stay.

Day 9: Mud - Pharka - Phaldar Camp - Bhaba Base :
After breakfast, start the first day of trek (5-6 hours) by crossing the Pin River foot bridge. Trek continues following the right bank of Pin River. Cross Shian village enroute. Further 01 hr is a beautiful and large camping area. Continue trekking till the Pin river takes left turn. Camp at small green camping place (4100 mt.). The valley towards right leads to Pin-Parvati Pass and to the left to Bhaba Pass. Overnight stay in the tented camp.

Day 10: Bhaba Base - Bhaba pass - Fushtiaring :
Morning after early breakfast start trek (7-8 hours) towards Bhaba Pass. The trek is gentle climb in the begning through the morains and snow/ice patches. Closer to pass the climb is steep and somtime sleepry on loose screes. Trek climb-up towards left to the pass (4950 mt.). The descends steeply on the other side of the pass till the valley opens up at Fushtiaring. Setup camp (4100 mt) on the banks of Wanger River for overnight stay. The valley is greener as compared to valley on Spiti side. Overnight stay in tented camp.

Day 11: Fushtiaring - Mulling :
After breakfast start the down trek (4-5 hours) to Mulling following the Wanger River on the left bank. after 1 hrs the vally opens up and makes T shapes with another valley in the front. Trek takes right turn here and continue trekking after crossing a stream 2-3 times. After another 01 hr the route takes left turn and crosses the Wanger by a natural rock bridge. The valley becomes more green and forested. Continue walking further to the open flat ground and camp there for overnight stay.

Day 12: Mulling - Kafnu - Kalpa :
Morning after breakfast walk (3-4 hours) through the forest area following the Wanger River on left bank. The route is heavely forested with pine,cedar and birch. Reach Kafnu, the last road head in the valley. On arrival board the coach and drive (4 hours) to Kalpa (2900 mt.). Check-into Tourist Bangalows/ Tented camp for overnight stay.

Day 13: Kalpa - Sarahan :
After breakfast drive (85 km) to Sarahan. On arrival check-into hotel. In the afternoon visit the famous Hindu Temple of Godess Kali - Bhimkali Temple and bird breeding centre in Sarahan. Overnight stay at hotel.

Day 14: Srahan - Shimla :
Morning after breakfast drive (185 km) to Shimla via Narkanda which is a famous holiday resort. Arrive and check into hotel. Rest of day at leisure to explore the city on your own. Overnight stay in hotel.

Day 15: Shimla - Kalka - Delhi :
Morning after breakfast proceed for sightseeing tour of Shimla. Afternoon proceed for Kalka (90 km / 3 hours drive) railway station to board afternoon Shatabdi Express to Delhi. Met on arrival at New Delhi railway station and transfer to hotel for overnight stay.

Day 16: Depart Delhi :
optional sightseeing tour of Delhi. Later transfer to international airport in time to board flight to onward destination.

Chandertal Trek
A Chandratal , also known as ‘Moon Lake’ is one of the most beautiful lakes in the region. Set on a large meadow between lower ridge and main Kunzum range , it offers excellent view of Mulkila mountain range and Samudra Tapu Glacier. The color of water keeps changing through out the day from reddish to orange to blue to emerald green as day passes. The trek follows Chandra River till it level-up at Chandratal.


Duration: 14 days

Activities: 05 day trek / 06 nights in camp / 07 night in hotel

Best Time: July - Sept.

Grade: Moderate

 

Programme Schedule

 

Day 1: Arrive - Delhi :
Arrive New Delhi and transfer to the Hotel for the overnight stay.

Day 2: Delhi - Mandi :
Morning drive to reach Mandi, arrive Mandi by late in the afternoon, on arrival checkin at the hotel for overnight stay.

Day 3: Mandi - Manali :
Morning drive (140 km) to Manali (1920 mt) one of the major destination for Indian Honeymoon couples. Arrive by afternoon and checkin at the hotel. Later in the evening porceed for city sightseeing includes visit to Hadimba temple and free time at market. Overnigt at the hotel.

Day 4: Manali - Keylong :
Morning drive to Keylong a popular village for "green peas" crossing over the Rohtang pass (3987 mt). Passport check at Koksar village. By late in the afternoon arrive at Keylong and checkin at the hotel. Rest of the day free at leisure, one can walk around the colourful market of Keylong. Overnight stay in hotel.

Day 5: Keylong - Baralacha-La :
This day we drive (80 km) to Baralacha (4950 mt) one of the major pass diving the main Himalaya and the Lahul mountain range. Camp at Baralacha by the small stream on a large meadow.

Day 6: Baralacha - Tokpo Gongma :
Morning begin the first day of the four day trek to Batal. Crossing over the meadow, the trail is well defined, then a steep descent down brings you to the river bank, cross over the stream and arrive at Tokpo Gongma (4650 mt). Camp for overnight.

Day 7: Tokpo Gongma - Tokpo Yogma :
Morning we start the trek again. The trek traverse along a side stream for around 3-4 hours, then follow a well defined path descending down steadily until the river crossing to Tokpo Yogma (4350 mt). On arrival pitch up camp before the stream for overnight stay.

Day 8: Tokpo Yogma - Chander Tal :
Morning cross the Tokpo Yogma stream and follow a trail with good number of wild flowers. The trail then goes small climb up and down along the Chandra river. Arrive at Chandertal (4250 mt) and camp at the head of the lake for overnight stay.

Day 9: Chandertal :
Day at rest to explore around the lake. One can have magnificient view of peaks like Minar (6172 mt) and others. Overnight stay in tents.

Day 10: Chander Tal - Batal :
Morning follow the trail through the fertile plateau and descending down steeply. Later arrive at the Chandra river gorge and then trek along the dusty road leading upto Batal. Cross over the Batal bridge and arrive at the camp site for overnight stay.

Day 11: Batal - Manali :
Morning drive to reach Manali in 5-6 hours crossing over the Rohtang pass (3987 mt). Arrive at Manali and check-in at the hotel. Rest of the day free at leisure.

Day 12: Manali - Chandigarh :
Morning drive to Chandigarh, the capital city of Pujab and Haryana, the city is also popularly known as the "city beautiful" with lot of gardens and parks. It was desingned by the renowned French architect Le Corbusier. Arrive by evening and check in at the hotel for overnight stay.

Day 13: Chandigarh - Delhi :
Visit rock garden and lake club. Later drive back to Delhi and check-into hotel for overnight stay.

Day 14: Depart Delhi :
Day at leisure to explore Delhi on your own. Later transfer to airport for flight to onward destination.

Dharamsala (sach Pass) Trek
In 1960 , when exiled from his home country , 14th Dalai Lama HH Tenzin Gyatso came Dharamasala and settled here at former British cantonment of McLeodgunj. Tibetan Govt. in Exile is functioning from this place since 1960s. The trek in Dhauladhar range , starts from this historic town and Dharamsala and finishes in hill town of Manali.

Programme Schedule

 

Day 1: Arrive Delhi :
Arrive Delhi. Met on arrival at Delhi international airport and transfer to hotel for overnight stay.

Day 2: Delhi - Chandigarh - Dharamsala :
Morning transfer to railway station to board train to Chakki Bank. Met on arrival at railway station and drive (110 hr) to Dharamsala (1250 mt). Arrive by late evening and check-into hotel for overnight stay.

Day 3: Dharamsala :
Morning free for independent activities. After lunch proceed for sightseeing. Dharamsala is divided into Upper and Lower towns and the altitude varies from 1250 mt - 2000 mt. It is also the seat of His Holiness Dalai Lama and his Government in exile. Mecleod Ganj (1730 mt) in the upper Dharamsala is called the "Little Lhasa of India". Overnight stay in hotel.

Day 4: Dharamsala - Chamba :
Morning drive (270 km) to reach Chamba (1900 mt). Chamba is the western most district of Himachal Pradesh. The river Chenab runs in the north and river Ravi in the south. In the centre of the town there is a spacious play ground called the Chowgan, a grassy feild of about 805 M in length and 73 M in width. Chamba has a number of richly carved temples. Arrive and overnight stay at Tourist Bungalow.

Day 5: Chamba - Traila :
Morning drive to reach Traila (2500 mt) by covering approx 145 kms in 4 hrs. From Chamba you will enter the Pangi valley which is a land of pretty faces, beautiful dances and scenic splendour. Mainly two communities, namely Pangwala and Bhots inhabit this valley. Arrive and overnight stay at Tourist Bungalow.

Day 6: Traila - Satrundi :
Start first day's trek to Satrundi (2900 mt) by covering approx 15 km via a small village Bhanodi. Trek passes through forest trail with gradual ascent and descent upto Satrundi. Arrive Satrundi and overnight stay in Tents.

Day 7: Satrundi - Sach Pass - Bindrabani :
Trek to reach Bindrabani (2750 mt) and cross Sach Pass (4500 mt) a steep ascent from Satrundi. The pass offers splendid view of high mountains and many virgin peaks and hanging glaciers. Cross glacier to arrive Bindrabani. Set-up camp for overnight stay.

Day 8: Bindrabani - Killar :
Trek to Killar (2400 mt) which is situated amidst criss-crossing trails in a deep and narrow gorge of Chenab River. Overnight stay in tented camp.

Day 9: Killar - Purthi :
Morning trek to Purthi (2200 M) by covering appox 24 kms in 7 hrs. After covering appox 7 kms trail turns east for Purthi. Purthi is a very beautiful place known for one of the best forest nursuries and historical Rest House on the right bank of Chandra Bhaga. Arrive Purthi and overnight stay in Tents.

Day 10: Purthi - Raoli :
Morning start trekking to reach Raoli by covering appox 14 kms in 5 hrs. Trail has a moderate ascents and descents. We cross the Chandra Bhaga river on a rope bridge. Reach Raoli (2000 M) and overnight stay in Tents.

Day 11: Raoli - Manali :
Morning drive early to reach Manali (1920 M) via Keylong by covering appox 240 kms in 6 hrs. Lunch enroute. Arrive Manali and overnight stay in hotel.

Day 12: Manali :
Morning free to explore. Afternoon visit Hidimba Temple, Vashisht hotspring and Mountaineering Institute etc. Overnight stay in hotel.

Day 13: Manali - Chandigarh :
Morning drive to Chandigarh. On arrival check-into hotel. If time permits, enjoy the evening at Lake club.

Day 14: Chandigarh - Delhi :
Visit Rock Garden in the morning. In the afternoon drive back to Delhi (240 km). On arrival check-into hotel for overnight stay.

Day 15: Depart Delhi :

Hamta Pass Trek
One of most the fascinating and less frequented trek in Lahaul valley which is drained by two mighty rivers - Chandra and Bhaga , this trek explores the upper Himalayas of Chandra valley. The trek involves crossing high passes and many streams and rives. During monsoon , the meadows are full of wild Himalayan Flowers.


Duration: 12 days

Day 1: Delhi :
Met on arrival at International airport and transfer to hotel for overnight stay.

Day 2: Delhi - Chandigarh - Manali :
Early morning transfer to New Delhi raliway station to board Shatabdi Exp. to Chandigarh. Met on arrival and drive (310 km) to Manali(1920 mt). On arrival check-into hotel for overnight stay.

Day 3: Manali :
Morning at leisure to explore Manali and surrounding areas. Afternoon proceed for sightseeing tour of Manali. Visit Hadimba Devi Temple and Vashist Hot water spring. Return back to hotel for overnight stay.

Day 4: Manali - Preni - Hamta Village :
Drive to Preni - the starting point of trek. From Preni start trek with a steep climb, with a view of the Manali valley from above. Camp at Marasu campsite (2745 mt).

Day 5: Marasu - Chikka :
After breakfast start trek (6 hour) along the river valley with view of Jobri peaks. The trek crosess many glacial streams over improvised wooden bridges. Passing through a narrow gorge and arriving at Chikkha (3140 mt). Overnight stay in tented camp.

Day 6: Chikka - Hamta Base :
After breakfast trek (6 hour) through alpine meadows which is full of many alpine flowers. Also many interesting glacial features can be seen along the way. Set-up camp at Bhalu Gera (3660 mt), which is located in an open meadow within the site of the snow bound Hamta pass for overnight stay.

Day 7: Hamta Base - Hamta Pass - Hamta :
Start the trek by climbing up the Hamta pass (4270 mt), walking on the snowfields. From top of the pass you can see Deo Tibba and Indrasan peaks of the Greater Himalayas. A short descent to the campsite at Hamta at 3900 mt. Overnight stay in tented camp.

Day 8: Hamta - Chhatru - Chota Dhara :
Todays trek is leisurely walk following the valley stream down to the mighty river Chandra. Arriving by the side of Manali-Sipti road. Walk for about an hr to reach Chhota Dhara (3350 mt). Set-up camp for overnight stay.

Day 9: Chota Dhara - Rohtang Pass - Manali :
Drive back to Manali via Rohtang Pass (3980 mt) and Marhi. Rohtang Pass offers splendid view of Lahaul and Spiti Valley. Overnight stay in hotel.

Day 10: Manali - Chandigarh :
Drive back to Chandigarh (310 km). Stay overnight at Chandigarh. If time permits, enjoy the evening at Lake club. Overnight stay in hotel.

Day 11: Chandigarh - Delhi :
In the morning, visit rock garden and lake club. Later drive back to Delhi. On arrival check-into hotel.

Day 12: Depart Delhi :
Day at leisure to explore Delhi on your own. Later transfer to airport in time to board flight to onward destination.

Kullu - Shimla Trek (iris Country)
An easy and very interesting trek for enjoying the lush greenery , beautiful mountains , temples and remote villages of Himachal Pradesh. For large distances , the trek follows the ridge line separating inner and outer Seraj. You can stay in forest guest houses of which some are over 100 year and remind you of British ear. The guest book at these guest houses still mention of few royal visitors from past. A few days spent on this trail will remind you of the Raj.

Day 6: Shoja - Takrasi :
Trek to Takrasi (3025 mt). An easy trek. In the evening visit Temples near the village. Stay at forest guest house.

Day 7: Takrasi - Paneo :
Morning trek to Paneo (4-5 Hrs). Overnight stay in tented camp.

Day 8: Paneo - Khanag :
Trek (5-6 hrs) to Khanag after crossing Jalori Pass. (3250 mt). On arrival set-up camp for overnight stay.

Day 9: Khanag - Margi :
Trek to Margi (5-6 Hrs). The trek passes through dense forest following the stream. Overnight stay in tented Camp.

Day 10: Margi - Shilla Nala - Shimla :
Trek to Shilla nala (Trek end point) and drive to Shimla. On arrival, check-into hotel for overnight stay.

Day 11: Shimla - Delhi :
Day free to explore Shimla town. Evening transfer to Kalka railway station and depart by Shatabdi express train to Delhi. Met on arrival at New Delhi railway statuion and transfer to the Hotel for overnight stay.

Day 12: Depart Delhi :
Day at leisure in Delhi. Optional sightseeing of Delhi. Later transfer to to international airport in time to board flight to onward destination.
